Needless to say, this is one of my favorite topics! I love planners and for the last few years I’ve been publishing my own for online businesses, and this year I also created one for my weight loss journey. This is mostly something I do for myself but every now and then I get questions about it, so I thought some of you might find it interesting to learn more about it.
If you ever bought my Eule Planner you will see that the style of the layouts is very similar, I like the structure to be clean and well organized, with enough room to write and fill in the content. I also use a lot of washi tape and stickers! Here are some examples, the layouts are from early iterations of the planner. Some of them have changed a little bit but you can see the current ones at the end of this post.
There are four planners each year, one per quarter with weekly planning sections and daily spreads. This year I used them up until the summer when we moved house and I completely dropped the ball on my weight loss journey. The planner is a tool, not a magic wand. It will not make you lose weight if you don’t do the work. One of the many things I am learning on this journey is that my head has to be in the right place, or at least within reasonable vicinity of the right place. My tools are in that place. What I have to learn is to stay there and then to use them. That’s my big goal for 2023!
This planner is one of my top favorite tools ever. There is something very satisfying about reaching the end of a three-month period and flipping through it, feeling the weight of it, seeing the cheerful stickers and re-reading some of my entries. It’s my witness and cheerleader.
Things I do every day with the planner:
Add my daily schedule
Plan my meals around my schedule
Track my habits
Set up to three morning intentions
Evening reflections and gratitudes
None of this takes very long, for more in-depth journaling I use a blank Leuchtturm journal, which is what you see in my photos when I sit by the sea.
A word about the habits:
Some of them I aim to do daily (like the water and journaling) others I aim to do 80% of the time. I also transfer the daily habit tracker to the monthly one at the front of the planner, this way I can see at a glance where I am doing well, what is helping with my weight loss, and what needs more work. This is not about perfection, but consistency.
I have no ambition to build a retail business with my planners. My Eule Planner is a passion side-hustle and this weight loss planner is not even that. It is very tailored to my own program and what works for me doesn’t work for everyone.
However, if you like what you see you are welcome to get one for yourself and try it for the next quarter. I use an on-demand printer which means it can take 8-14 days to receive the planner, so order it soon if you want to receive it for the new year. The link does not show photos of the inside pages so I added them at the bottom of this post.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this little excursion into my geeky brain! This was probably one of my favorite posts to write for the December Reflections series 😍
Thanks for reading!

I have a planner too but it is discouraging not seeing weight loss. I weigh in once a week. This tool does keep me. I think if I avoided the scale it would get further out of control. I really like the design of this planner.
